Earth Stations

Despite TICRA being known as a space company, the theory and methods behind our designs are just as valid and useful when earth stations and antennas for earth to earth services are considered. These antennas vary in size from large antennas for communication applications and satellite tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) down to very small antennas used in portable satellite communication systems and ground to ground systems for internet applications.

TICRA participated in the design of antennas for the deep space network including ESA’s 35-metre antenna at New Norcia in Australia. TICRA has also assisted in the development of antennas for small portable deployable earth stations, gaining a considerable know-how through the close cooperation with producers of such systems.

Our software packages GRASP and CHAMP are indispensible tools for design and development of antennas for ground based applications
